Overview

A concise KI EIS update ahead of Tax Year End and fund close

We know advisers are under pressure at Tax Year End, so this session is deliberately brief. In 15–20 minutes, you get the key points on the Par KI EIS Fund IV ahead of close, plus a quick look at selected opportunities currently in focus.

The Par KI EIS Fund IV closes on 2 April 2026 (5pm).

With £243m invested across 86 companies and 37 exits returning £149m to investors (as at 31 December), Par Equity has spent 18 years building one of the strongest venture track records in the North of the UK — and with the fund closing in April, it’s also the last chance to carry back EIS Income Tax relief to the 2024/25 tax year (subject to eligibility).

This webinar is intended for UK financial advisers looking for a concise KI EIS update ahead of Tax Year End and the fund close on 2 April 2026.

Companies In Focus

Examples of opportunities the team will discuss in the session

Four companies in focus — two opportunities currently in flight that are covered in the webinar (Aveni and Advanced Electric Machines), plus anonymised details of two further pipeline opportunities being assessed for deployment after the fund closes.

01 Fintech & AI

Aveni

Aveni is an existing Par portfolio company building purpose-built AI for financial services, helping regulated firms automate compliance workflows, reporting and Consumer Duty-related oversight.

The webinar covers Aveni as a named in-flight example, including current commercial momentum and a proposed participation in its Series B round, which is expected around April 2026.

Named in-flight opportunity; any participation remains proposed and subject to final investment decisions
02 Cleantech & EV

Advanced Electric Machines

Advanced Electric Machines is an existing Par portfolio company designing and manufacturing magnet-free electric motors for commercial vehicles, passenger cars, off-highway and aerospace applications.

The webinar covers AEM as a named in-flight example, including current validation with OEM and Tier-1 partners and a Series B process expected around March or April 2026, where any participation would remain proposed.

03 Space & Defence

Anonymised advanced engineering opportunity

This anonymised example sits in an area of advanced engineering linked to resilient, high-value industrial demand. The business is addressing a clear technical pain point in a specialist end market with potential for recurring commercial relationships.

It is being assessed because it combines early commercial evidence with differentiated know-how, but it is shown here illustratively and there is no certainty on timing or outcome.

04 AI Infrastructure

Anonymised AI infrastructure opportunity

This anonymised example relates to AI infrastructure and focuses on improving the efficiency of resource-intensive AI workloads. It reflects the kind of deep tech opportunity the team is currently reviewing within the broader market backdrop.

The investment case includes specialist intellectual property and a clear commercial need, but it remains under assessment and is included on the page as an anonymised illustration only.
